Brief Biography

Don Diego de Guevara was born about 1520 in Escalante:Trasmiera, Cantabria province to don Juan de Guevara and doña Ana de Tovar. He participated in the Expedition as a captain. After the return of the Expedition to Mexico City, he held several governmental posts and died in 1564.
