Pedro Jerónimo

Brief Biography

Pedro Jerónimo was present at the 1540 muster for the Expedition as a horseman and listed as Pero Gerónimo. Immediately upon returning to Mexico City, Pedro submitted a méritos y servicios document in which he described some of the events he personally took part in. Because there appears to be this single individual in the documentary record, it may be safe to assume that he is one and the same mentioned in a document regarding Puebla, along with another expeditionary, Lope Caballero.
